Government of the Punjab, School Education Department has issue the official Notification letter on 30th October, 2019 in connection with AEO classroom observation visits.

I am directed to state that PMIU-PESRP, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, has recently strengthened the role of Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) by revising their Terms of References (ToRs). As directed by the Competent Authority, the primary role of AEOs under the revised, notified, ToRs is to help schools become more effective in ensuring delivery of quality education through a process of school improvement.
This includes conducting regular classroom observation visits in primary grades to their assigned schools. . In order to facilitate AEOs to record Information from each classroom observation visit and to collect data, the PMIU in consultation with Punjab Information and Technology Board (PITB) has developed an android application.

The AEO classroom observation application has been developed keeping in consideration the need of the users and ensuring that it facilitates the process of data collection and providing feedback and mentoring. The AEO classroom observation application is available for installation on Play Store under the title “AEO Classroom Observation“. General instructions on installation will be emailed to CEOs in due course.
I am, therefore, directed to request you to ensure that all AEOs in your respective districts use the application to record classroom observation data with effect from 25.10.2019. AEOs will only be considered to have conducted classroom observations if they record and submit their observations using the aforementioned Application.
