Age Limits For Admission in B.Ed in Abolished

The maximum age limits for admission in B.Ed 2024, associate degree in education and Bachelor in Elementary Education program is abolished in Sindh. Previously the maximum age limit was 28 years.

Sindh Teachers Education Development Authority STEDA decided to abolish the age limit in its 13th meeting. The meeting was chaired by Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani.

The secretary school education, the secretary colleges, the head of the school education department’s curriculum wing, and other officials also attended the meeting.

The decision will soon be officially announced through notification once the minutes of the meetings are approved.  The decision is being lauded by many educationists.

It is a major shift in the policy of recruitment of educators as well. Normally, the teachers are required to complete the B.Ed degree within 2-3 years of their appointment if they have not already obtained the requisite degree.
