The Government has finally presented the AJK Budget 2022-23 by increasing of Salary, Pension, Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) and Revision of New Pay Scale 2022 after merging the adhoc relief allowance 2016 to 2021. The budget speech was presented by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan. All the AJK Govt Employees will get 15% Salary Increase and 15% Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA-2022). The Azad Kashmir Government has also increased the 15% pension increase for all pensioners of AJK. Azad Kashmir Budget 2022-23: Salary Pension DRA New Pay Scales 2022 Details
The following relief packages are proposed for AJK Government employees and pensioners in the Budget 2022-23;
15% Adhoc Relief Allowance 2022:
Grant of 15% Adhoc Relief Allowance on the running basic pay of BPS-2017 to all AJK Government employees with effect from 1st July 2022.
Revision of New Pay Scales-2022:
For the AJK Government employees, the Adhoc Relief Allowances 2016, 17,18,19 and 21 will be merged in the Basie Pay Scales 2017 with effect from 1st July 2022, thus introducing new pay scales BPS-2022
New Pay Scale Chart 2022:
After merging of Adhoc relief Allowances 2016, 17, 18, 19, 21 then point to point basic scale effective from 01-7-2022 (BPS-01 to BPS-16 – 40% merge, BPS-17 to BPS-20 – 35% merge, BPS-21 and BPS-22 30% merge).
15% Increase in Pension:
The AJK Govt has increased 5% pension to all pensioners with effect from 1st July 2022.
