Ban on Processions of Youm-e-Ali, Only Majalis with Covid SOPs 2021

Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan has issued the official notification on 1st May, 2021 in connection with Ban on Processions of Youm-e-Ali, Only Majalis with Covid SOPs 2021. The further details are given below;


All sorts of processions be banned

Holding of Majalis has been permitted under strict COVID SOPs, already in place for Ramazan ul Mubarak


I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to state that the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) during its session held on 1st May, 2021 expressed grave concern over the current COVID situation in the country. Keeping in view the risk factor due to ongoing surge in COVID spread across the country and particularly in major urban centers, the following has been decided:

  1. All sorts of processions be banned.
  2. Holding of Majalis has been permitted under strict COVID SOPs, already in place for Ramazan ul Mubarak.

It is requested that all concerned may take appropriate action at their end to ensure implementation of the above decisions taken by the NCOC under intimation to this Ministry.
