All BISEs of Punjab will announce the result on the same date. The result was delayed due to the non-availability of the practical marks but now the provincial cabinet in its meeting held on September 14 had approved the promotion and exams policy.
The date is announced by Higher Education Minister Raja Yasir. Hence it is confirmed that the results of all boards of Punjab will be announced on September 19, 2020, at 5:00 PM. Previously it was announced that the result shall be declared on September 14, 2020. But due to the non-availability of practical marks, the result is now delayed and expected at the end of September or the start of October.
The intermediate annual exams were canceled duet to COVID-19 this year. However, the result will be prepared by adding 3% grace marks to 1st-year results. All students will be given a minimum of 50% marks in practicals, and the remaining 50% will be given on the basis of student’s performance in theory paper. Raja Yasir confirmed that matric results will be ready in due time and will be announced before September.
Regarding admission in higher education institutions, the minister said that institutions have been directed to announce their admission policy and dates in accordance with the announcement of the matric result. So, admissions in colleges are expected to be announced after matric result announcement.
