Cancellation of School Registration in Gujranwala

The office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), District Education Authority has issued the official notification on 16th November 2021 in connection with Cancellation of School Registration in Gujranwala.

In Pursuance to the directions, contained in the letter, bearing No. M-49-3/PCTB/2021, Dated: 08-10-2021, issued by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, Lahore, in compliance with, The Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Act-2018 (Act XVII of 2018), and directions, passed by the honorable, Lahore High Court, Lahore in C.M.A No. 63659 of 2021 in ICA No. 55556of 2020.

School Registration Cancel in Gujranwala For Not Implementing Nazrah/Translation of Holy Quran

A team, comprising of honorable Judge and officers of District Education Authority, Gujranwala reached at your school today, dated: 16-11-2021, to verify whether Nazra/Translation of Holy Quran is being taught in your school as a Separate Subject, or not.

1. It is very regrettably stated that neither you have complied with the directions of the department regarding the teaching of Holy Quran nor even you let the team, comprising of the Judicial Officer to enter your school.
2. This act is tantamount to gross mis-conduct on your part. Therefore, in exercising the power, conferred to the undersigned under Punjab Private Educational Institution (Promotion and Regulation Ordinance 1984, the Registration of your school is hereby cancelled.
3. Furthermore, the Assistant commissioner, Tehsil Sadar, Gujranwala is hereby requested to direct concerned officer/ official to SEAL the school building.
