Somehow, it is very important for every employee to know how many assistance packages are providing to the Govt. servant who dies during his/her service. Therefore, we are sharing some checklist of financial assistance to the family of Deceased Civil Servants to minimize the problems.
Financial Assistance Packages
1). Financial Assistance
For BPS-01 to BPS-20 & above → [Rs. 16,00,000/- to Rs. 40,00,000/- as per entitlement]
2). Annual Increment till Retirement through OSD Post
Salary including annual increases will be paid till the date of Retirement through Parents Departments Establishment concerned by creation of post of OSD.
3). Family Pension
Family pension under Rule 4.10 of Pension Rules 1967.
4). Accommodation till Retirement
Government accommodation may retain till the date of Retirement.
5). Govt Job for only one child
Your one child is entitled for appointment as Govt employee under Rule 17A.
6). Free Medical Treatment for Family members
Free health facilities as per entitlement under Medical Rules 1959.
7). GP Fund
The family members of a deceased servant can draw GP Fund.
8). Leave Encashment
The amount of leave encashment will be provided to the deceased employee.
9). Monthly Salary
04 month salary will be provided
10). Group Insurance
Group Insurance is providing if the deceased employee was entitled for this.
11). Plot/House through Housing Scheme
Provision of Plot/House from Punjab Housing Foundation for subscribed members
12). Benevolent Fund Grant
Monthly grant from Benevolent Fund Punjab
13). Farewell Grant (Gazetted Employees)
Farewell grant from Benevolent Fund Punjab for the Gazetted officers.
14). Funeral Grant
Funeral grant from Benevolent Fund Punjab
15). Daughter’s Marriage Grant
Daughter’s Marriage grant from Benevolent Fund Punjab
16). Educational Scholarship Grant
Educational Scholarship grant from Benevolent Fund Punjab
