Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Higher Education, Archives & Libraries Department, Civil Secretariat has issued the official Notification letter on 6th January, 2020 in connection with clarification on retirement age in the light of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil servants (Amendment) Act, 2019.

I am directed to refer to your office letter No.3743/CA-I/Estt: Branch/A-12/Altaf Hussain/Pol. Sci dated 30-08-2019 on the subject noted above and to state that all those employees (Civil Servants) who attained the age of 60 years before 31-07-2019 {commencement date of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Servants (Amendment) Act, 2019} stand retired on superannuation and those employees (Civil Servants) who attained the age of sixty years on or after 31-07-2019 have to serve till the age of 63 years.
Furthermore, the conditions of 25 years qualifying service, as well as attaining the age of 55 years, are pre-requisite for pre-mature retirement w.e.f 31-07-2019.

All Notifications issued by this Section, which are violated of the provisions of Civil Servants (Amendment) Act, 2019, in which the officers have got retired at the age of 60 years after 31-07-2019, i.e the promulgation of the Civil Servant (Amendment) Act, 2019, may be treated as withdrawn.
