Complete Ban in Tourism, Transport, Bazaars and Commercial Activities 2021 ICT

Islamabad Capital Territory Administration has issued the official announcement of stay home – stay safe for Eid-ul-Fitr 2021 (from 8th to 16th May) due to current spike of Covid-19 in Pakistan to implement the complete ban on Tourism, Transport, Bazaars and Commercial Activities 2021 ICT.

All tourist spots, picnic points (both formal & informal) tourist resorts and hotels/restaurants in / around tourist spots will be closed as well.


ICT Imposes Lockdown 2021 Before Eid-ul-Fitr


These tourist spots/ parks include but are not limited to Lake View Point, Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument, Murree Point, Peer Sohawa, Shrines, F-9 Park, Jasmine Garden, Damn-e-Koh, Rawal Dam, Shandra Hill Station, Trails (for picnic purposes), Shakar Parian, and Lok Virsa Center. Travel nodes leading to tourist spots/picnic areas, tourist destinations like Murree, Galiat, Northern areas will be closed. All public parks, shopping malls etc. will also remain closed.

Complete Ban in Tourism, Transport, Bazaars and Commercial Activities 2021 ICT

Ban on Transport:

All kinds of inter-provincial, inter-city and intra-city public transport will be banned to, from & within Islamabad. This ban will not be applicable to private vehicles, taxis / cabs, rickshaws with 50% occupancy and medical / other emergency services transport.

Ban on Chand Raat Bazaars:

All bazars on chand raat will be closed including mehndi, jewelry / ornaments and clothing stalls etc.

Commercial Activities/Businesses:

All markets (marakiz, malls etc) commercial activities, businesses and shops will remain closed except essential services

Closure of Tourist Spots:

All tourist spots, picnic points (both formal & informal), tourist resorts and hotels/restaurants in / around tourist spots will be closed as well.
