Development of National Road Infrastructure Through PPP Program By NHA

Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Communications, National Highway Authority has announced the development of national road infrastructure through public private partnership (PPP) program by NHA.

The Government of Islamic Republic of Pakistan through National Highway Authority (NHA) intends to accelerate National Highway and Motorway infrastructure development by enhancing private sector participation thereby promoting economic growth and reducing poverty.

In this context, NHA intends to offer the Following Projects on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis under Public Private Partnership (PPP) regime. Under BOT arrangement, the Successful Bidder the concessionaire shall be responsible to design, finance, construct, operate, maintain and transfer the Project Assets to NHA at the end of concession period.

Name of Projects:

  1. Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (M-6)
  2. Karachi-Queta-Chaman (N-25)
  3. Balkasar – Mianwali
  4. Mianwali – Muzaffargarh
  5. Shahdara Flyover (N-5)
  6. Lyari Elevated freight Corridor
  7. Bara Kabu Flyover (N-75]
  8. Sialkot- Kharian – Rawalpindi Motorway

The above projects are publicized to apprise interested private parties with the NHA portfolio under PPP regime. However, for initiating procurement process, Individual notice for each project is expected to be advertised within the current Fiscal Year.
