Directorate of Public Instruction (Elementary Education) Punjab Lahore has issued the official Notification letter on 2 October, 2019 in connection with in time disposal of dues of teachers / officials at the time of retirement and forwarding to OSD cases and promotion of employees (Teaching and Non-Teaching).
It has been noticed with great concern by the Worthy Secretary, School Education Department, Govt of the Punjab, that in the field officers, cases regarding creation of OSD post, pension cases of retirement employees and dues like pension / gratuity, leave encashment and final payment of G.P Fund etc. are not being finalized in due time.
Due to slow and delay process families of deceased employees as well a retired employees are facing hardship and this would deprive the deceased family / retired employee from their legitimate right.Therefore personal interest may be taken for disposal of liability and any debar may be got removed through legal process e.g. if inquiry under PEEDA Act 2006 is pending or under process against the employees, it may be ensured that it must be completed within time frame, if budget is not available then personal efforts be made on priority for budget allocation.
The case of creation of OSD posts may be prepared carefully and ensure complete cases are forwarded to high ups / DPI office and this practice should be observed on daily basis, don’t keep any case pending of creation OSD post even a single day. Daily basis report as well as clearance report of retired employees liabilities any be forwarded to this Directorate on weekly basis also without fail.
Similarly, Promotion cases of all categories may be processed immediately and finalized through prescribed procedure / criteria.
Please proceed further in the matter and clear all such nature of pendency within a week’s time positively and compliance report b submitted to this Directorate till 09-10-2019 without fail onward submission t school education department.
