The Prime Minister, Islamic Republic of Pakistan has issued the official notification on 3rd March 2022 in connection with Dissolution of the National Assembly in terms of Article 58 (I) of the constitution of Pakistan 1973.

The Prime Minister, being Minister in charge of the Parliamentary Affairs Division, has been pleased to approve the proposal at para 5 of the summary.
In view of the current political situation of the country and to provide the people of Pakistan with the option to express their free will through free and fair General Elections, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in terms of Clause (1) of Article 58 read with Clause (1) of Article 48 of the Constitution of Pakistan, 1973, is advised to dissolve the National Assembly.
