Office of the Deputy Director, Cyber-Crime Wing, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has issued the official notification letter in connection with requisition for removal of explicit content posted on internet complainant Fatima Sohail.
Ms. Fatima Sohail is a known TV anchor and media personality. On 4th of December, 2019, a sexuality explicit content (Video) Impersonating to be Ms. Fatima Sohail was found circulating on Social Media including twitter, YouTube & Whatsapp. The video has seriously harmed the repute of the complainant, who is a noble and responsible citizen.
The said content is gradually transmitting through Instagram, Twitter & YouTube at following URLs:-
i. YouTube
ii. Instagram
iii. Twitter
The victim has requested for the removal of the content. Aforementioned in view, PTA is authorized under section 37 of PEA-2016 (Unlawful Online Content), on submission by the request of Investigation Agency for removal of such content.
Hence, the same is forwarded to remove / deleted the sexually explicit content from the above said URLs and other related sources of social media. The same may please be intimated to this office, accordingly.
