The Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety, Bait-ul-Mal has issued the latest notification on 7th August 2023 in connection with detail of treatment of cochlear implants in Government Hospitals/Military Hospitals across Pakistan. All the children who are born deaf and dumb and their age is up to 5 years.
They are being given the facility of cochlear implants. With the help of this device, the child becomes able to hear. The price of this device is about 24 lakhs which is being provided free of cost by Pakistan Baitul Mal.
Federal Government Free Cochlear Implant Surgeries in Pakistan
This is to inform that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal takes immense pride in its commitment to pro-poor social uplifting services, and with great enthusiasm, we are delighted to announce that first time in the history of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, a special budget of 800 million rupees has been allocated by the Federal Government for cochlear implant surgeries for Current Financial Year 2023-24. The present management is committed to utilize these funds efficiently to ever maximum number of cochlear implant beneficiaries enlisted with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.

All Provincial/ Regional Directors are therefore requested to depute teams of District Offices comprising of Assistant Director/ District Officers immediately for collecting data of Government Hospitals Military Hospitals having cochlear implant facilities and submit to this office.
Keeping in view of the sensitivity of the matter, Managing Director has desired to furnish the requisite reports within 10 days, sharply, otherwise strict disciplinary action will be taken as per rules and regulations.
