The grant of honorarium Ramadan package Covid-19 to the employees of President’s Secretariat every year on the eve of ” Ramadan“. Further mentioned, that this year Covid-19 has been spread in all over the world including Pakistan.
Resultantly, the employees of this Secretariat were strictly directed to stay in their homes. The employees (Officers/Staff) residing in Presidential Estate Colony were completely restricted at premises and other employees residing outside premises were strictly bound to stay at their homes.
The Government of Pakistan taking preventive measures also enforced ‘Lockdown’ in all over the country to save the people from ‘Pandemic CoronaVirus’.
It is worth mentioning here that most of employees are low paid and earn some income by working part time in shops and other private sector after office hours. Due to lockdown they were not allowed to leave State Colony premises thereby discontinuing the part time jobs this badly affecting their domestic budgets.
Keeping in view, these special circumstances, it is proposed that an incentive may please be awarded to the officers/officials/contingent paid staff of President’s Secretariat (Personal) from Grade-1 to 20 equivalent to their one month’s basic pay as ‘Honorarium’ in these financially challenging circumstances under ‘Lockdown’ / Covid-19.
The payment of honorarium (1* Basic Pay) to the employees (BPS-1 to BPS-20) of the President’s Secretariat (Personal) involves financial outlay of Rs. 13,878,050 where an amount of Rs. 31,940,240 is available under respective head during current financial year.
