Health Department, Government of Sindh (Prevention & Control Program for Dengue in Sindh) has issued the public advisory on 27th October, 2019 in connection with how to safe from dengue in Pakistan.

Dengue fever is caused by a particular type of mosquito, identifiable by its zebra-like  black and white stripes, and usually active during dawn and dusk.

Signs & Symptoms

Sudden High Fever

Severe Headaches

Pain Behind the eyes




Severe Joint and Muscle Pain

Skin Rashes, Which appears 2 to 5 days after the onset of fever


Keep your home and office clean from mosquito

Removal of stagnant water must be ensured indoor and outdoor of the premises

Water storage utensils such as Tanks, Buckets, Drum etc. must be covered

Environment must be kept neat and clean

Put up nets over doors and windows

Use bed nets while sleeping

Wear full sleeved clothes

Use mosquito repellent coils and lotions before sleeping

In case of fever, immediately visit your doctor

Dengue Fever patients may take Paracetamol, Aspirin & Ibuprofen should not be given
