Government of the Punjab, School Education Department has issued the official Notification letter in connection with Income Tax Rebate to Secondary School Teachers Computer Science / SST (IT).
The Clause (IA) of part III of 2nd schedule of Income Tax Ordinance 2001 allows 40% reduction in tax liability to all full time teachers and researchers. The facility has been extended to all the teachers of School Education Department. However, Income Tax Department is not extending this facility to the Secondary School Teachers Computer Science SST (IT).
They are full time teachers and deserve the same dispensation allowed to other teachers. It Is therefore, requested that Secondary School Teachers (Computer Science I SST (IT) may be allowed 40% reduction in Tax liability in line with other school teachers.
