K-Electric, Pakistan Electric Supply Company has issued the message of the Day through National Newspapers on 25 September, 2019 in connection with Be Careful During the Rain for Karachi.
- Downed power lines are not safe to touch, nor to be near.
- Keep your children away from power sockets.
- Don’t touch electrical appliances when you are barefoot or have wet hands.
- Don’t ring the doorbell with wet hands.
- Do not stand near billboards, trees, electricity poles and transformers during
rainy and windy weather. - Stay clear of any electricity installations that are submerged in flood water. Take extra care of the elderly and children.
- Be aware of cable TV and internet wires as they can be dangerous during rain.
