The Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division Islamabad has issued the latest office memorandum on 31st May 2022 in connection with new retirement rules for civil servants (Directory Retirement from Service) Repeal Rules 2022.
The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject and to state that the competent authority i.e. Prime Minister of Pakistan has been pleased to approve Civil Servants (Directory Retirement from Service) (Repeal) Rules, 2022. The copy of Gazette Notification S.R.O. No. : 698(T)/2022 dated 30.05.2022 is enclosed herewith.
All the Ministries / Divisions are requested to bring this decision to the notice of all Attached Departments / Subordinates Offices, under their administrative control, for compliance / further necessary action.
New Civil Servants Retirement Repeal Rules 2022
The Gazette of Pakistan has issued on 30th May 2022 regarding the Civil Servants Repeal Rules 2022.
S. R. O. 698(1)/2022.— In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 25 of the Civil Servants: Act, 1973 (LXXI of 1973) read . with Notification No. S.R.O. 120(1)/98, dated the 27th February, 1998, the.. Prime Minister is pleased to make the following rules, namely:
1. Short title and commencement (1) These rules shall be called the Civil Servants (Directory Retirement from Service) (Repeal) Rules, 2022.
(2) These rules shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on and from commencement of the Civil Servants(Directory Retirement from Service) Rules, 2020.
2. Repeal.— (1) The Civil Servant (Directory Retirement from Service) Rules, 2020 are hereby repealed.
(2). On repeal under sub-rule (1), any actions taken, proceedings initiated, pending or concluded, recommendations or decisions made, orders passed or notifications issued under the repealed rules are hereby recalled and shall have no legal effect whatsoever and no inferences shall be drawn against civil servants affected or suffered under the repealed rules solely for the reason that proceedings of directory retirement under the repealed rules were initiated or finalized.
