As per notified shooting policy of the Wildlife Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Partridges shooting season 2019-20 will start in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa w.e.f Sunday, 17th November 2019 and will continue till Sunday, 2nd February 2020. During the season, partridge shooting will be subject to the following conditions:
♦ Hunting shall not be allowed in protected areas / newly merged areas of province and below mentioned Union Councils of the province.
♦ Hunting will be permissible only on Sundays and gazetted holidays under a valid shooting license.
♦ Hunting in game reserves win be permissible only under a special shooting permit to be issued by the Chief Conservator Wildlife, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar
♦ Maximum bag limit shall not exceed five birds of all partridge species per gun per day. Besides compensation, Rs.1200)- (rupees twelve hundred) will be charged for each bird shot in excess to bag limit as value of property.
♦ Maximum two hunting party (not more than five guns in a party) shall be allowed in a game reserve/unit on a single hunting day.
♦ Hunting in Community Game Reserves will be permissible only after due consent of the concerned Village Conservation Committee (VCC).
♦ Hunting in Private Game Reserves will be permissible only after due consent of the concerned owner of the Private Game Reserves.
♦ Using of retrieving dog will be permissible only on a valid possession license.
♦ Use of Automatic weapons including repeater short gun for shooting is strictly prohibited.
♦ Special Permit fee once deposited will not be refundable.
♦ The following fee will be charged for various Licenses/Special permits during 2019-20 shooting season until revised otherwise.
a) Small Game Shooting License – Rs.3000/-per annum
b) Special permit for shooting in a game reserve Rs.5000/- per day
c) Possession License for dog – Rs.1500/- per annum
Other conditions will remain the same as mentioned in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife and Biodiversity (Protection, Preservation, Conservation & Management) Act-2015 and the shooting policy made there under.
