PCMD Internship December 2020 – Medical & Dental Students

The Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) Internship December 2020 program has been announced for the Medical & Dental Students graduate level. The objective of the program is to provide them an opportunity to be involved in research activities at the molecular and cellular levels and to attain preliminary levels of proficiency in conducting clinically relevant research, formulate research questions, apply appropriate research methods and critically interpret findings.  It is expected that this short exposure to original research in a world class institution will generate research interest in Medical Graduates.

The ICCBS is among the top academic research establishments of the developing world with two constituent centers, H..E.J. Research Institute of chemistry. and Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug [Research. As WHO collaborating and UNESCO affiliated center, ICCSS has been awarded the Islamic Development Sank Prize for the Best Scientific Research Institution in the Islamic World in 2004 and 2010. H.E.J. Research Institute during the last five decades has achieved a number of milestones and remains at the pinnacle of excellence, Emphasis ‘has been given on raising the standards of training of scholars in economically relevant fields of chemical and biochemical sciences, and resource mobilization for the future growth in new disciplines of chemical sciences. Dr. Panjwani Center for’ Molecular Medicine and Drug Research established in 2004 is engaged in training of young’ scholars in the emerging fields of molecular medicine, and drug research.

The research activities at PCMD are directed at understanding of diseases, especially those that are prevalent in Pakistan, with the aim of finding improved and novel ways of their diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Internship will be offered in the following fields;

1) Biochemistry

2) Bioinformatics and Computational Chemistry

3) Genomics

4) Molecular and Cell Biology

5) Molecular and Cellular Immunology

6) Molecular Enzymology

7) Molecular Oncology

8) Molecular Microbiology

9) Neuropharmacology

10) Proteomics

11) Stem Cell Research

12) Structural Biology

Final Year or Fresh Graduates (M..B.B.S. / B.D.S. only) can submit applications mentioning their area of interest, last year’s (2019) Mark Sheet / Marks Proforma, and CV to the following email (Subject: Medical Internships) or postal address along with the recommendation from the Head of the Institution, latest by 23rd November, 20,20. Selected Candidates will be placed in various sections of the ICCBS, institutions (www.iccs.edu) for 4 Weeks. Kindly note that No Payment will be made to the selected Internees and No On-Campus Accommodation will be available.
