Punjab Examination Commission, Lahore (www.pec.edu.pk) has issued the official notification on 2nd March, 2021 in connection with PEC homework assessment criteria 2022.
Homework Assessment Criteria For Punjab Schools 2022
Punjab Examination Commission has notified the Schedule and Mode of Assessment for Grade-I to Grade-8 for the Academic session 2020-21 vide No. PEC.138 dated 16.02.2021 in pursuance of the notification No. SO (A-1) 1-31/2008 dated 28.01.2021 issued by the School Education Department, Govt. of the Punjab.
The mode of Assessment for the Academic Session 2020-21 as approved by Minister for School Education Department is 50% weightage for homework and 50% weightage for MCQs based paper. The approved criterion for assessment of homework is given hereunder:
1). Neatness and presentation (05 Marks)
Award I to 5 marks based on handwriting, Neatness and Presentation of submitted homework
2). Correctness and Relevancy (10 Marks)
Award 1 to 10 marks based on relevancy to the areas of assigned homework and its correctness in terms of facts provided)
3). Completeness (15 Marks)
Award 1 to 15 marks based on degree of completeness, having all the necessary information to support the main idea
4). Quiz/Oral Assessment on Homework (20 Marks)
Teachers may take quiz or oral assessment regarding H. W. and award 1 to 20 marks
It is further requested that the homework assessment criteria be circulated to all the heads of institutions under your jurisdiction to ensure the assessment of homework according to this criterion.
