Punjab Examination Commission has issued the official Notification letter on 21st February, 2020 in connection with PEC is not Taking Exams of Grade-5 from Year 2020.
No. PEC tit As per directions of Government of the Punjab in Approved Assessment Policy Framework, Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) is not taking exams of grade 5 from year 2020.
Schools will take assessment of grade 5 students along with the assessments of other classes in March, 2020 In the supervision of District Education Authorities. For guidance and standardization of School Based Assessment system, PEC has uploaded Item bank for pattern to be used, guidelines for paper construction and marking.
DEO (EE-M) is nominated as focal person for all communication with PEC and ensuring that PEC designed items are converted into question papers and timely delivered to all schools. For implementation of all activities of School Based Assessment (SBA), DEO-EE-M in collaboration with DEO (SE), DEO (W) and D.DEOs will perform these responsibilities.
All AEOs will act as assistant focal person for this activity and will be responsible to implement the School Based Assessment (SBA) system at their markaz level.
