With reference to the meeting of District Polio Eradication Committee (DPEC) held under the chairmanship of worthy Deputy Commissioner Khanewal on 10-12-2019 by 11:00 am at DC Office Meeting Hall Khanewal.
It is decided to conduct 5·Days Polio eradication initiative programme in all Public & Private and Non-Formal & Basic Education (NF&BE) Schools of Khanewal in true letter and spirit. School Education Department, Govt, Of Punjab is aiming to make Polio free Punjab through successful Polio Vaccination across the province Punjab.

In this regard, You are hereby directed to communicate all Head Teachers of Public, Private and NF&BE Schools that children up-to 5 years of age will be vaccinated by Polio Teams at their door step from 16 Dec, 2019 to 20 Dec, 2019 in the whole district of Khanewal.
Therefore, All the Head Teachers of Public, Private and NF&BE Schools/Institutions will ensure to make an announcement/awareness regarding conduction of Polio eradication initiative programme in assembly sessions and also during classroom sessions to students.
All children/students up-to age of 5 years should be vaccinated by Polio Teams. The students should be conveyed message that if Polio Team does not come to their home for Polio Vaccination then students shall inform to their Head Teachers through concerned Teacher. The concerned Head Teachers will inform to health department immediately about any missed children.

Moreover, All DEOs, Dy. DEOs and AEOs are directed to provide list of their concerned areas Polio Teams having their names, cell number, center for convenience of availability. The above instructions must be followed in true letter and spirit.
