Prime Minister’s of Pakistan (PM) Office Islamabad has issued the official Notification letter in connection with inter ministerial meeting regarding prevention against coronavirus outbreak.

The outbreak of coronavirus is being experienced in China with more than 2000 confirmed cases worldwide. Owing to the presence of a large number of Chinese in Pakistan and frequent travel between China and Pakistan, the spread of coronavirus in Pakistan cannot be ruled out if necessary precautionary measures are not in place.
In light of the above, the Prime Minister has been pleased to desire that a Federal level Inter Ministerial under the chairmanship of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Services, Regulations & Coordination shall immediately be convinced to formulate a comprehensive strategy for tackling the threat. Proposed attendance of the meeting shall be:
• Foreign Secretary
• Secretary National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination.
• Secretary Interior
• Secretary Aviation
• Provincial Secretaries Health.
• Chairman NDMA
• Surgeon General, Pakistan Army.
• DGMO
• DDG (C) ISI
• Director Generals PDMA
• DG CAA
• DG NIH
• DG ASF
• DG China – MoFA
• Any other Secretary/ official deemed appropriate by M/ o NHSR & C.

The outcome of the meeting along with firm recommendations shall be furnished to this Office within one (01) week, for perusal/ orders of the Prime Minister.
Further, necessary action may please be taken prevention against coronavirus outbreak accordingly.
