Government of Sindh, Services, General Administration & Coordination Department has issued a Notification NO CTC/(SGA&CD)/27(04)/2006 on 28-04-2021 in connection with Public Holiday on 1st May Labour Day 2021. The further details are given below:
1st May Announces Public Holiday on Labour Day 2021
The Government of Sindh declares Saturday 1st May 2021, as Public Holiday on the occasion of Labor Day throughout the Province of Sindh.
The Government of Sindh declared the 1st of May as closed every year. This year too Sindh Govt announced the same. Although the Sindh Government Educational Institutions are already observing the closure. Other offices in the Sindh Province also working with 20% attendance of the staff.
Federal Government offices have two days a week holiday. This 01-05-2021 falls on Saturday, so it has no effect on the Federal Government employees and offices. In the Districts of the province of Sindh where NA-249 (Karachi) elections the Government is conducting, there is also a holiday on 29th April 2021.
