Quackery is a Curse Sindh Healthcare

Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) an Anti-Quackery drive in all over the Sindh province is underway. The Healthcare Service Providers (HCPs) working at Healthcare Establishments (HCEs) and not registered with any of the following Councils will be considered as Quacks:-

Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC)

• National Council for Tibb (NCT)

• National Council for Homeopathy (NCH)

• Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) (Limited to Midwives)

In pursuance to under Section 2 (xxix) of Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) Act 2013, a Healthcare Service Provider shall be deemed as “Quack” if he/she is:

(i) Duly qualified but not validly registered with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), National Council for Tibb (NCT), National Council for Homeopathy (NCH), Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

(ii) Neither qualified nor registered with the relevant Council.

(iii) Duly qualified and validly registered but providing services beyond the provisions of his registration.

(iv) Neither duly qualified nor validly registered but practicing under the name of a qualified and validly registered medical practitioner.

Hence, all the qualified Healthcare Service Providers (HCPs) working at Healthcare Establishments (HCEs) in Sindh province are strictly advised to apply for mandatory registration to Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC), In addition to their respective Councils, as mentioned above.

Failing which, stern action will be initiated against unregistered / non-compliant Healthcare Service Providers (HCPs), which may include imposition of fine upto Rs. 500,000/- and closing down / sealing the Healthcare Establishments (HCEs) as per SHCC Act-2013.
