Government of Pakistan Meteorological Department Flood Forecasting Division has issued the Notification on 03 August, 2019 in the matter of Rivers situation and qualitative Flood forecast.

1. HYDROLOGICAL SITUATION:
River Indus at Kalabagh, Chashma & Taunsa and River Kabul at Nowshera are in Low Flood Level.
2. METEOROLOGICAL FEATURES:
a) Yesterday’s trough of westerly wave over Northwest Afghanistan today lies over Northern parts of Afghanistan,
b) Seasonal low lies over Northwest Baluchistan.
c) Weak moist currents from Arabian Sea & Bay of Bengal are penetrating upper parts of the country upto 5000 feet,
III. WEATHER FORECAST FOR NEXT 24-HOURS:
Scattered thunderstorm/rain of moderate intensity is expected over upper catchments of all the major Rivers along with DG Khan Division. Isolated thunderstorm/rain is expected over Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar. Kohat, Bannu, DI Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore. Sahiwal, Bahawalpur & Multan Divisions along with East Baluchistan.
