30% Salary & 5% Pension Increase in Punjab Budget 2022-23

The Government has finally presented the Punjab Budget 2022-23 by increasing of Salary, Pension, Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) and Revision of New Pay Scale 2022 after merging the adhoc relief allowance 2016 to 2021. The budget speech was presented by the Punjab Minister Awais Leghari. All the Punjab Govt Employees will get 15% Salary Increase and 5% Pension for Pensioners. The 15% Increase of Disparity Reduction Allowance on running basic salary according to 2017 Pay Scales for BPS-01 to BPS-19. Punjab Budget 2022-23: Salary Pension DRA New Pay Scales 2022 Details

The following relief packages are proposed for Punjab Government employees and pensioners in the Budget 2022-23;

15% Adhoc Relief Allowance 2022:

Grant of 15% Adhoc Relief Allowance on the running basic pay of BPS-2017 to all Punjab Government employees with effect from 1st July 2022.

Latest News on 20-6-2022 About Salaries of Govt Employees: The Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has briefed about the final decision of increasing salaries of Government employees are remain same decided in Budget 2022-23. It is also discussed that IMF has no relation with salary increase. The circular of salary increase to all Government departments will be issued soon.

Revision of New Pay Scales-2022:

For the Punjab Government employees, the Adhoc Relief Allowances 2016, 17,18,19 and 21 will be merged in the Basie Pay Scales 2017 with effect from 1st July 2022, thus introducing new pay scales BPS-2022

After merging of Adhoc relief Allowances 2016, 17, 18, 19, 21 then point to point basic scale effective from 01-7-2022 (BPS-01 to BPS-16 – 40% merge, BPS-17 to BPS-20 – 35% merge, BPS-21 and BPS-22 30% merge).

5% Increase in Pension:

The Punjab Govt has increased 5% pension to all pensioners with effect from 19 July 2022.

Minimum Wage Increase:

The Punjab Govt has also increase the minimum wage rates from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month to control the prevailing inflation inside country.

According to the new project of “Women on Wheels“, the Punjab Govt is providing Scooties to females teachers, Lady Health Workers and Female Polio Workers to facilitate the travelling mode of females.

Upgradation of Nursing Schools:

The Punjab Govt has allotted 40 Crore for upgrading of Nursing Schools and Colleges in Punjab territory. The Punjab Government is starting to establish first Nursing University in Punjab with the allotted budget of 3 Trillion and 50 Crore.
