The Sindh Government has also presented the Budget 2022-23 with increasing of Salary, DRA, Pension and Revision of New Pay Scale 2022 after merging the adhoc relief allowance 2016 to 2021. The budget speech was presented by Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah. Sindh Budget 2022-23: Salary Pension DRA New Pay Scales 2022 Details
The following relief packages are proposed for Punjab Government employees and pensioners in the Budget 2022-23;
15% Adhoc Relief Allowance 2022:
Grant of 15% Adhoc Relief Allowance on the running basic pay of BPS-2017 to all Sindh Government employees with effect from 1st July 2022.
Revision of New Pay Scales-2022:
For the Sindh Government employees, the Adhoc Relief Allowances 2016, 17,18,19 and 21 will be merged in the Basie Pay Scales 2017 with effect from 1st July 2022, thus introducing new pay scales BPS-2022
New Pay Scale Chart 2022:
After merging of Adhoc relief Allowances 2016, 17, 18, 19, 21 then point to point basic scale effective from 01-7-2022 (BPS-01 to BPS-16 – 40% merge, BPS-17 to BPS-20 – 35% merge, BPS-21 and BPS-22 30% merge).
15% Increase in Pension:
Pensioners of Government of Sindh were already getting 22.5% more increase in net pension than pensioners of Federal Government till February 2022. Therefore, an increase at the rate of 5% of net pension will be paid to the pensioners of the Sindh Government w.e.f 1st July, 2022. Thus, after announcement of 10% increase in net pension by Federal Government in March 2022 and enhancement of the rate of increase to 15% from 1st July 2022, the pensioners of Government of Sindh will still be getting 12.5% more of net pension than the pensioners of Federal Government.
Minimum Wage Increase:
The Sindh Govt has also increase the minimum wage rates from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month to control the prevailing inflation inside country.
15% Disparity Reduction:
The Sindh Government has also increased 33% Disparity Reduction Allowance DRA-22 for Sindh Govt employees from BPS-01 to BPS-16 and 30% for Civil servants of BPS17 to BPS-22 in lieu of the differential rate of Adhoc Relief Allowances 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021, which are being abolished w.e.f 1st July, 2022
Artist Endowment Fund 2022:
The Government of Sindh has announced financial assistance package through Artist Endowment Fund to facilitate medical treatment, daughter’s marriage and other general welfare. The Govt will also provide monthly stipend for artists, writers and poets.
Appointment of 47,000 Teachers in Govt Schools:
The Sindh Govt has issued the appointment of 47,000 teachers on merit basis through recruitment process.
Launch of Rescue 1122 Service in Sindh:
Government of Sindh has launched Rescue 1122 service in the Province. The service is aimed at providing immediate medical aid to people for shifting them to hospitals in emergencies.
Girls Student Stipend For Class 6th, 9th & 10th:
Stipend of Rs. 3,500 each is given to girl students of classes 6th, 9th & 10th for promotion of primary education by SELD since 2001. It relieves parents from financial burden of educating their children and provides an incentive for girls to remain in school. In next financial year budget, Rs.800 million have been allocated for Girls’ stipend.
Teachers Transfer Through E-Portal/Web Portal:
All teaching staff can apply for their Transfer only Through E-Portal / Web portal. All teachers would be communicated their IDs for E-portal/Web portal and they have to apply for their transfer only on Web portal (once in a year & their transfer would be notified after end of academic year) Wedlock, divorce, death of spouse and chronic diseases cases can apply round the year. Government can, at any time, post teachers to closed schools (single teacher schools which have become closed due to death, retirement of promotion of teachers Web-portal will only show schools in the GREEN ZONE (where there is need of teachers). No teacher can be posted in any RED category school 25 (schools where teachers are in excess as per the standard STR). So teachers can only apply in schools (green) where there is a need.
