Sindh Govt Issues Home Isolation Guidelines for Covid-19 Positive Patients

Government of Sindh has issued the home isolation guidelines for the Covid-19 positive patients. As we already knows that Sindh Govt has recently issued the notification of dont shift Covid-19 patient forcefully at hospitals or isolation center.

The home isolation guidelines included DOs and Don’ts for home isolation and simple questions like when should I consult a doctor? Who should I contact and contact the helpline in case of emergency.


Home Isolation Guidelines


List of DOs [What can I do during isolation]

  • Do stay In a well-ventilated single room.
  • Do make sure your family should stay in a different room and they should maintain absolutely away from you till you gel cured.
  • Do designate only one family member/other person who will take care of you but will maintain distance and no contact policy with use of proper PPEs.
  • Do perform hand hygiene frequently. Use a hand rub, or soap and water.
  • Do cover your mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and Immediately dispose of the tissue.
  • Do use a dustbin with a lid after disposing tissues and other waste products.
  • Do use line the dustbin with a bag and the bag tied tightly before throwing:
  • Do use a surgical mask at all. Change this if this becomes wet
  • Do wash your clothes in warm water. Have the person doing the laundry wash hands Immediately after picking up the clothes.

List Don’Ts

  • Do not move outside room. Maintain absolute isolation
  • Do not have any visitors over at your home
  • Do not have people with weak immunity, older age or chronic conditions take care of you
  • Do not touch your face unnecessarily
  • Do not shake your clothes after removing
  • Do not let the clothes touch the body of the person picking up your clothes

When should I consult a doctor?

If you decide to stay home and one or more of the following symptoms appear, immediately report to your doctor:

  • Fever or
  • Cough or
  • Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or Inability to arouse Bluish lips or face
  • Make sure you have access to several weeks of medications and supplies in case you need to stay home.

Who should I contact?

A doctor is being assigned to you, he/she will make a daily call to you to inquire about your health condition. You are requested to extend full cooperation for betterment of your health. In case of any emergency or worsening of the symptoms, please make a call to your designated doctor, who shall arrange alt required facilities for you. In case, doctor does not attend the call due to any uncontrolled reasons. please Inform the Control Room shall arrange referral services for you
immediately.
