The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Directorate of Affiliation has issued the official Notification letter on 06 September, 2019 in connection of transition from BA/BSC/BCOM programs to Associate Degree programs.
The Vice-Chancellor, In exercise of the powers vested in him under Section 15(3) of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Act, 1975 has been pleased to approve the recommendations of the Affiliations Committee made in its meeting held on 26-8-2019 regarding transition of 02 Years BA/BSC and BCOM conventional degree programs to Associate Degree Programs, on behalf of the Academic Council and Syndicate:
i. The nomenclature of 02 years BA/BSC and BCOM or other equivalent degrees is changed as Associate Degree in Arts, Associate Degree in Science and Associate Degree in Commerce, respectively, for regular and external/private students with effect from the session 2019-20.
ii. There shall be no change in course outline / syllabi, rules and regulations, The course outlines/syllabi have already been offered to BA/BSC and BCOM students shall be offered to students of Associate Degree and the same shall be notified by the University. The system of examination for Associate Degree shall be the same as previous one i.e Annual and Supplementary Examination Systems.
iii. The Committee shall further deliberate for changes in curriculum including examination system of Associate Degree from the next Academic Year.
