The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board has issued the official notification on 28th July 2022 in connection with Introducing New Subject Translation of Holy Quran.
Kindly refer to the letter No. 104-CE/P dated 25.07.2022 received from Controller of Examinations, BISE, Lahore/PBCC on the subject captioned above (Copy enclosed).
Govt of Punjab Introduced Subject of Holy Quran Translation
In order to implement “The Punjab Compulsory Teaching of the Holy Quran Act, 2018” amended in 2021, the Government of the Punjab has introduced the subject of “Translation of the Holy Quran” at Secondary and Higher Secondary Levels. The Curriculum of the said subject is available at the PCTB’s Website (https://mis.pctb.punjab. gov.pk/home/get_subjects/curriculums/49). The detail of requisite information is as under:

Moreover, the Board of Governors (BOG) of PCTB has approved that the subject of “Ethics” will be taught to Non-Muslim Students for Grades I-XII in lieu of “Naazrah Quran for Grades I-V” and “Translation of the Holy Quran for Grades VI-XII” (Annex-B).
