The Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division has issued the summary for the Prime Minister on 30th May 2022 in connection with Working week duration and weekly holiday (Saturday Off).
Saturday Off Holiday Summary For PM Pakistan
In pursuance to the decision of the Federal Cabinet dated 12.10.2011, Federal Government Offices working was notified for five (05) days a week vide Notification dated 13.10.2011 (Annex-1). On the verbal directions of the office of Prime Minister, this Division notified six (06) days working week and revised office timings for the holy month of Ramazan vide Notification dated 12.04.2022 (Annex-II). Since then, same working days and timings are being observed after the month of Ramazan, vide Notification dated 06.05.2022 (Annex-:I).
A meeting was held in the Establishment Division with protesting employees of All Pakistan Federal Government Grand Alliance and All Pakistan Clerks Association on 23.05.2022, wherein, they requested five days working week by declaring Saturday and Sunday as weekly holidays again (Annex-IV).
In view of foregoing, demand of the protesting employees regarding five days working week is placed before the Prime Minister, being Minister Incharge of Establishment Division for appropriate orders/directions.
