Who can apply for a YES scholarship you can! If you….
- have a record of high academic achievement
- demonstrate flexibility and commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding
- were born between 1 August 2003 to 1 August 2005
- are studying in grade 9, 10 or O level (O’ Level 9th, O’ Level 10th) academic year 2019-20.
- Qualify English language proficiency test
- are not a U.S citizen or permanent resident and were not born in the United States
- have not applied for US citizenship

- Live with an American host family
- Study at a U.S High School
- Participate in a youth leadership program
- Experience U.S culture and society
- Improve your English
- Make new friends
- Help Americans learn about your country
The YES Scholarship Program is funded by the U.S. department of state’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administratered in many countries by a consortium of organizations that include American Councils for International Education, Aspect, ACES, AFS USA, ASSE, AYA/AIFS, AYUSA, CCI Greenheart, CIEE, IRIS, PAX, STS Fdn, BFF, States’ 4-H, World Link and YFU USA.
Last date of submission of Preliminary Application is September 25, 2019.
