Scandal Unveiled: Viral Exam Papers on Facebook Spark Urgent Action

The Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education, Sargodha, has recently discovered a concerning violation of examination security, which has come as a surprise to many. The Secondary School Certificate (1st Annual) Examination, 2024 is now taking place at 338 centers under the authority of BISE Sargodha since March 1, 2024. There have been attempts by malicious individuals to disrupt the examination process.

On April 1, 2024, the Mathematics question paper was found being shared on Facebook, which clearly violated the requirements of the examination. This act of extreme severity undermines the honesty and openness of the examination system, posing a serious danger to the trustworthiness of academic evaluations.

Obtained are screenshots of Facebook sites engaged in the dissemination of the leaked question paper, which implicate specific users and pages in these unlawful acts. These flagrant acts of misconduct cannot be accepted and require prompt measures to uphold the integrity of examinations.

Due to the seriousness of the matter, the Controller of Examinations has promptly requested the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against the persons and Facebook pages involved. The action is to be carried out in accordance with section 3(1)(viii) and 3(2)(ii) of the Punjab Universities and Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Malpractices Act, 1950.

The purpose of filing the First Information Report (FIR) is to guarantee the smooth conduct of examinations, without any external intervention or fraudulent actions. The board is unwavering in its dedication to maintaining the principles of equity, openness, and scholarly honesty in all examination procedures.

BISE Sargodha intends to convey a strong message that any efforts to undermine the integrity of examinations will be faced with severe repercussions by promptly resolving this violation and pursuing legal action against the individuals responsible. The board’s proactive action demonstrates its commitment to protecting students’ interests and upholding the credibility of educational assessments.
